It all started when Minh.......my FAVOURITE (and only) Vietnamese friend said "Hey, let's go watch Transformer 2's premier and meet Optimus Prime!", followed by a hearty "Hey, let's have a tea party tomorrow!!"
So with our advanced Information Technology knowledge, we googled "Tea in London". After carefully agreeing that we in fact are cheap bastards, we decided to book the cheapest seats in Odeon for 5.15pm and have tea in a quaint little place by St. Paul's Cathedral...
...called "Tea Ltd" (Surprise, surprise...The Ritz was our last choice...><) for our afternoon tea. ....And here begins our journey XD
We relied on the most efficient and quickest transport in London, and that is by foot, discovering places we never expect to see...
"A bank...!", we thinks...
"Sainsbury's HQ!!", we thinks...
"Amen Corner"...no doubt
Arriving at Tea Ltd (which took forever to find!), we ordered ourselves
- 1 pot Silver needle white tea
- 1 pot Dragon Well green tea
- 2 Chocolate Fudge Cakes
- 2 Rocky Roads
- 4 cucumber and salmon finger sandwiches
- 2 raisin scones with fluffy butter and strawberry jam
We left Tea Ltd and explored the area as we had time before the movie. We were lucky that day as there was a live band performing at the steps of the cathedral (Britain's got talent "Stomp" group, according to Minh) and a tiny children's parade on recycling. On the way to the cinema, we saw this!
Well, it's not the same guy and not the same place (got the picture of the internet), but it was the SAME STUNT!! A knife juggler balancing on a ladder!!
Then, we met Ian and Yeo Ming on the same grounds celebrities tread upon to watch TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN!!
I don't know what movie critiques think but me thinks it's one of the awesomenest movies I've sawed since...the last awesomenest movie XD I couldn't even sit back for the whole 2 1/2 hours in the cinema. I reckon it was sugar rush though...
Following that, we went to china town to buy 2 boxes of plain rice...(Obviously, we got weird stares from the waitresses again)...went back to halls, and made Vietnamese Chicken Salad!
"From the internet...again"
We microwaved raw chicken...Yeeup! Marinated it with random stuff overnight, and microwaved it to steaming perfection. Yummeh!
