When God doesn't answer your prayer...

First of all, I gotta apologise to my friends whom I promised I will be online the whole time during this Easter holidays. Sowies~~!! Something came up...and, well...it just threw me off chatting with anyone.

Back to the title...Now, when God doesn't answer our prayers...especially when you put your whole heart in it, especially when it's uber important to you...

This is what people tend to do...

Or....

Or maybe...this

Gotta love "suicide bunny" comics...HEH!! Fortunately, God put the fear of pain and of course, the usual humanistic fear of dying, in me...

Reading up on lots of Christian webpages on WHY GOD DOESN'T ANSWER OUR PRAYERS...
here's a few reasons from what the pastors preached/posted:
1) You're a sinner
(Praying for financial support to support your adultress girlfriend.)
2) You have bad intentions (You want somebody dead)
3) It's not the right time
(You want to have a BMW convertible NOW, even if you're 7)

There's plenty more...but I can't remember them. But the one thing I always convince myself and other people who are in the same situation, is that:
1) God is the WISEST in the WHOLE UNIVERSE, and HE KNOWS what's best for us.
2) God will not give you more than you can handle...So all this pain and trouble, I was given to deal with, because I God knows I'm strong enough to handle them.
For example, a mother is given a down syndrome child, because God knows she has the strength to deal with this. A child is born to a mother with Alzheimer's because God knows that that child is strong enough to support his/her mother.

Well, I don't have much time to authenticise this post as I'll be going back to school in a few hours, but...this is what's at the top of my mind now. So...GOODBYE til next month, probbly..!!

My Love Life in UK~ *special addition*

The worst thing that can happen WHILE u're in ENGLAND, is to fall in love....! Oh...the agony of it all! It was love at first sight. My friends told me it was a good idea, to pursuit my happiness with the love of my life. So I allow myself to grow attached. Ah~but the sacrifices I have to give for LOVE. The pain that I could not meet my darling every single day, hour, minute of my life... The suffering that I know my baby doesn't belong to me, and not mine alone to keep. The $M-O-N-E-Y$ I have to spend to keep my beloved close to me~~~~

OH~Korean food...why are you torturing me so!

"Drool"

Hold it a sec...My 1st taste was NOT in England! There was a korean BBQ restaurant back at home...*slurp* and we have food that looks summat like this... "Sizzle...."

And then to Hong Kong to have this...

"Ah...the memories..."

And younger still....daddy brought us to a Korean restaurant every time we were in Bintulu to have...

"Grilled OX TONGUE!" 'It's Good!! No...Seriously!'

But then...the real stuff comes with my Korean friend...

"CLAIRE!"

Here's a short intro of my friend Claire...
Name: Claire (as mentioned many times before...)/ Yeon Soo
Nationality: Korean
Favourite snack: Walker's BBQ flavoured crisp
Favourite food: Pizzas...(pepperoni pizzas, especially)
Status: An academic genius...
Warning: Have severe addiction and independence to coke and pepsi (but preferably coke Xp) DO NOT APPROACH SUBJECT WITHOUT IT! (ehehe...small joke)

Every holiday, we'd stuff ourselves silly with her native food...

"My first Korean meal in UK's very own KOREAN TOWN...Mm...Spicy tofu soup (jjigae)!"

"There's not stopping me now! Kimchi rice and Seafood pancake (bindaeddeok)...*drool*"

"Vegetablearian bimbibap"

"Spicy rice cakes (Ddeokbokki)

"Let's not forget the delectable KIMCHI!"

Claire had a tough time teaching me all the names...har har. Well, let's finish with a bit of dessert, shall we?

NB: Some photos were taken from the internet (heh...trying to avoid copyright lawsuits)

Moving on!!

Then a week later...we have Valentine’s Day!!
Oh the joys and pleasures of receiving a bouquet of red roses accompanied by a romantic candle-lit dinner in a fancy restaurant. It’s any girl/lady/woman/heck! elderly woman (but let’s not go that far) ‘s dreams... I’m fortunate (sarcasm detected right...here!) enough to have my v-day sandwiched between...my probably damned interview and the beginning of my half-term holidays.

For the first time in my life... I received a v-day gift! Oo...it's Perrrrdyful...
Well, it’s not really a v-day gift, more like a good luck gift for my interview from a very, very amazingly kind friend (whom I’ll tell you more about later, probably in my next post, ahiaks!).

Well, that’s all I can tell you about V-day! If you so wish, you may imagine that I have an adoring boyfriend who.............................

"dotes on my every wish, captures for me the moon, sprinkles star dust all the bedroom floor and writes 2984 sonnets for me which he emotionally recites while massaging my foot as I drift into dreamland"

My view on V-day...it’s a regular ol’ day and people should not wait for this ONE day to be ‘nice’ to their beloved. My REAL thoughts...I want a boyfriend who dotes on my every wish, captures for me the moon, sprinkles star dust all the bedroom floor and writes 2984 sonnets for me which he emotionally recites while massaging my foot as I drift into dreamland. Hah! Psych!!

Ah...the interview...I had a month to prepare for it. I bugged my English speaking friends to argue ethical cases with me for 2 weeks prior to the big day til they eventually lost their will to argue and scream in agony when I say ‘so...would you like it if I perform euthanasia on you one day?’

Before the interview, I was so fidgety and hyper I couldn’t sit still for 2 seconds and kept offering other interviewees spear-mint flavoured tic tacs. One of them actually jumped in shock -.-!! Anyway, it was only a short 20 minute talk with 2 person(s?): one of them who reminds me of professor Albus Dumbledore and the other of Bruce Willis... Hm... Should I conclude that anxiety and nervousness causes delusions?
After that, I couldn’t gone back to school to proceed with my afternoon lessons...but NOoOOOOoo...I stayed on in London with my friend, Christine...

"I demand you to bow down to my supremacy!"

who had an open day at the same university and we went to CHINA TOWN to admire some...meat...

It was a day to remember...=)

PLUS, I bought this wonderfully attractive (literally) t-shirt. Read the text bubble!

I'm on the roll!!

CNY!!! Yeah, yeah..I know it's over and everybody else have punctually and faithfully jotted minute details of their experience...well, 'forgive me' (exclamation mark, exclamation mark) for being deprived of my blog >< *note the sarcasm* The weekend before, we... ...the Asian mafias (stop lookin...i'm never in pictures..Oooo..mysterious...) went down to the lovely Brighton, the only place we can find decent Chinese food + shopping mall + a beach front + a teeny weeny amusement park.

This is where we ate seriously delicious swirly ice-creams, freshly baked doughnuts, fluffy crepes and puffy cotton candy while we stroll along the pebble beach...seriously, no sand!

Of course, since we were by the beach, we HAD to have some seafood...

INTRODUCING: From your left, we have dog whelk, crawfish, prawn, muscles, lobster tails, octopus, raw oysters...etc etc!!!
AND YES!! We do HAVE jellied eels!

And then...we had a full blown Chinese meal of anything we can afford...Heh...
The next weekend, 3 extreme-Asian-loving teachers brought us to town to have more Chinese FOOD!!
Complete with the IDIOTS GUIDE ON ''HOW TO USE CHOPSTICKS''!

I'm sorry...it seems that all we do is eat. Well, it IS one of the pleasures of life! Well, that was how I celebrated Chinese New Year instead of the Malaysian tradition of visiting houses and indulging in cakes + soft drinks for all 3 meals of the day!!

i'm still alive~!!

It has been a while, my minions, since I have hypnotised you with my words of power. Lame as this may be, I shall pretend to go back in time and provide updates according to my chronological pleasure; of which I'm sure, is your ultimate pleasure as well. ('ha!', I hear u snort?)

Let us begin...with the sad tales of a boarder stuck in the middle of nowhere...Unfortunately, boarding isn't as interesting as the castles in Harry Potter or the adventures of whoever-it-might-be in Enid Blyton's fairy tales.

Here's the gang of us...they call us the Asian Mafia (which I'm PROUD to bear!), excluding the boys, of course.

From the left, we have Calista (HK, which is if u don't know, part of China. well, I didn't!!), Claire (Korea), me (M'sia!!), Christine and Shirley (both China)

Here's what we do during our spare time...........
Visit our Assistant's Housemistress'ssssess kittens!
Inqa before (just a few months ago)

And...after! (just a few days ago)
Here's mowgli who is Inqa's bigger (literally) brother...
1) Have pizzas delivered right after class and stuff our faces til we puke...

Claire says "Yum!", by the way...-------------->

2) occasional dinner parties thrown by the school...

3) ...and have food that looks like this..

To your left, we have a red berry a passion fruit mousse with a-funny-tasting-no-named sause. And to your right, we have the appetiser consisting of mushy yellow pepper, a piece of salami, sun-dried tomatoes, pickled olives, some sort of ham and mozarella balls for your chewing pleasure.

4) Go to town for a little grocery shopping...

5) then cook the stuff if we have the guts...(let's not talk about skills)

So there you go! A little glimpse of how I go through a typical term, reporting here at....Ardingly College, Haywards Heath...Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, classes are compulsory so...yeah, they're part of a term too...*sigh*

Time flies...!

5 more months 'til I can go home to receive my more-than-deserved pampering!!! I can't believe how fast time flies nowadays. I mean, last year, I was practically begging and screaming at the clock to move faster...despairingly it still ticks it's ever so annoying steady tocks. (k, that's a weird expression).

These few weeks, I found myself of thinking about the weirdest questions...
For example...
1) What causes a hangover (something to do with the lack of water in the body and the Krebs cycle);
2) is a cold actually caused my getting caught in the rain or being exposed to chills (no it doesn't! and the cold air doesn't even inactivate your immune system!) ?

I gotta say, I find it annoying when people tell me in an ever so fragile way that "Oh, I can't go under the rain because my weak and frail body will cause me to have a cold the next day. Woe is me~"

Anyway! My college is being a ****head (fill in the blank with ur own colourful word) for blocking my blogspot website. I mean, none of the others are blocked..only MINE! So, I can only update (considering I have the inspiration) during the holidays when I'm away from that wretched place. Okay, so maybe it isn't really a bad place...with free laundry services, a cozy bed with pillows and duvet, good food....i'm gonna miss my college one day...BUT not too soon. HEH!

Life's pretty hectic here at the mo (that might be why time seems to fly)...uni applications, interviews, exams, course works, bla bla bla...*and she drones on and on without a care in the world......*

Happy Noo Year!!!

Oh my freakin' gosh...it's 2008!!! Let's see, I'm TWO decades old this year, I haven't grown any taller (dammit), I have no university to go to...I...I...I'm scared...and old!!~ I'm freaking out here, people...2008 is supposed to be a good year...a new start for lots of people.
  • PMRers are jumping up to Form 4 (e.g. my bro: congrats to him for not failing! not forgetting Ian who's got really great results.)
  • SPMers are getting ready for the gruelling STPM (well, 2007's 5th formers e.g. Mic? Those guys...*shrug*) or
  • just trying to flee the country (e.g. Terry, I'm onto you...)
I haven't gone out much to do exciting stuff as many of u guys did, since..well, I'm stuck here...alone...with not much company. Plus, my camera's totally useless to take proper pictures, so I just found some images on the net to show u what I've seen around here.

Debenhams...It was red last year (2006), the lights, i mean...

Just at the very end of Oxford street...or beginning...?

John Lewis..Ooh~ pretty lights *drools*.

Marks & Spencer

For New Year's eve, I had a 3 dish meal with rice 'take away'ed from China Town *ahiaks!*. Ok, I know it's sad...but as long as I have my fragrant Jasmine rice,

XO seafood and tofu hotpot
(minus the hotpot cause they didn't wanna give it to me. I wonder why though...),
roast duck,

spare ribs with BBQ sauce, and Grey's Anatomy back to back...

I'm perfectly peachy. Fine...so my meal didn't look as good as the pictures, sinced they were all stuffed in take away boxes which leaked in every corner, and had to be microved to keep warm... but it was still yummy! Moving on~! New Year Resolutions...This year, I will...I should...I...hm...my new year resolution is...to make up some new year resolutions! Next topic!

Anyway...good luck to everyone this year. Remember the mistakes made last year, and try not to do them again! That's my advice...from me to u...so...yeah...signing out!
