~~Thru my eyes~~

A month flew by, in just a blink of an eye...woah, I made it rhyme! Today's the last the last day of my winter break. GARGANTUAN SIGH~!!!

I haven't taken as many pictures as before and you'll be able to see some of my holiday events posted up on someone else's blog or facebook page. Sure, you've seen the Eifel tower, the Champ avenue place and the louvre a million times repeated on Eric's or Chan Ging's blog/facebook page. But here's MY version of Paris...The city of romance, through my eyes...and of course we know, my eyes are *special*! Hee hee~

Ah...Paris, so full of culture, art and ancient history...as can be seen in this photo below...

Having had 3 meals a day of French Mcdonald's, KFC and Quick Burger for the first 3 days...we figured we were being too cheap and had a proper French dining~
Eric wasn't too happy about it...^^"

We went to the LOUVRE............
.......and learnt that the oh-so-popular-and-adorable ~smileys~ were invented by the Egyptians!

*wink*

Although it was the holidays, we thought it was GREAT that we could gain knowledge during our vacation...However, some people have odd ways of learning; imitation, for example...
bizzare....but effective~

Some.....indulge artwork in a very passionate and excrutiatingly emotional way~

In Paris, the means of transport for most is by Metro (also known as, the tube, subway, MRT in various parts of the world). We were impressed by the emphasis placed upon 'safe sex' by the Parisian transport services, but also quite disturbed as to how and where they could have possibly require the item.

* Why not...there's a discount too~*
We discovered there are very many unclothed (i.e. naked, bare) statues of both men and women around Paris. But of course, as sophisticated university students here in Paris to learn about their unique culture, we are VERY mature about it...

*they just couldn NOT resist it...*

It was a very grand experience, visiting Paris...and I can feel myself just a little wiser and knowledgable than before...such as:
1) always looking down to prevent stepping on doggie poo littered every square inch of the streets of Paris
2) avoid visiting Paris when it is below 0 degrees celcius
3) master French before going back as there are NO English signs...

Back in London, I had the chance to see how sausages are sold in markets...
...as piles of massive, squidgy, intestine looking masses...

It was always raining in London and I had a very strong urge to purchase this very creatively designed umbrella....too bad i was feeling broke then.....greatest regret of my life, not buying this lovely thing...

I went to a German Christmas market and had a German sausage of pork, beef and cheese...Yum~

This fella, had his first ever raw oyster...
Pretty obvious it's his first, as it seems like he's gonna down the shell too...

complete randomness

....of my room...

Of course, it's exam season again. Thus, my complete lack of diligence to revise but to ramble complete nonsense on this page for various strangers to indulge upon...

In my theory, to understand a person just a little better, we must observe this individual in his/her own natural habitat. What better place than to discover that person's innermost intimates, than the havenly sanctuary they call their bedroom.

Today, you shall feast your eyes on an unknown mystery known to mankind. Hidden from the world and only seen by a rare handful of unfortunate souls who, after several psychiatric therapies and attempted interviews, reported as an experience they vow never to repeat. The look of disgust, according to medical experts, is an unfortunate side effect and shall be permanent.

Fellow earthlings, I give you.....my bedroom...*famous track from Jaws blasts from nowhere*

...Where funny-monkey looks down upon you, literally

...Where 3/4 of my shelf is filled with books of my most failed subject since high school

Where Ribena, Hot Choc and Jelly Beans reign. The cod liver oil is just for show. (No..mommy, I was kidding! Yes, mommy!! I do take it, mommy! Yes, everyday, mommy!! No, mommy, I'm not lying..no!!! Don't smack me!!) Cod liver oil reigns too...*sniffle*

...where the LAWS hung upon the notice bored are strictly obeyed

...Okay, I think I'll stop the act and be normal, for now....

And below, we have an Oreo cookie of the mini verson...X) mmm~ mini oreos...

...Over here, we have a toothbrush holder of a dog with the handle of my toothbrush sticking out of his er....bum.

My one and only, trustworthy, hot water bottle...mmm~ soft and warm...

...On the window sill is where I display my collection of happy meal toys and other randon knick-knacks.

...I love colours...

...This bouncy space hopper replaces the bum-supporter (or more commonly known as, the chair) provided by my hall...that's why I go 'boing' all the time...

...A lil' bit of artistic touch to the wall...

...Hang on a spatula for a bit of boldness and contrast on the notice board...

And VOILA~~ you have my room....X)

Oh yeah...let's not forget the heart of my crib...THE BED! Friends tell me it suits me perfectly...Wonder why...

in the lab...

L: Excuse me, is the line of the graph supposed to be straight or curved?
Demonstrator: Well, you're drawing a calibration CURVE. What do YOU think?
L: So, it's a curve then? (ready to walk off...)
Demonstrator: No, the graph should be a straight line.

*moment of silence* o.O

L: So, the graph's gonna have a straight line?
Demonstrator: Yes
L: So, it's a calibration CURVE with a straight line...
Demonstrator: *pause* Yes. (with an air of confidence)
L: ... *shrug* 'mkay...

Yes! A proper post!!

It's been a while, hasn't it...But all of a sudden, I get this *click* in my head accompanied by a lil' voice saying 'Forget about the past! Forget about everything! Start anew...'

So here we go!

Lea's a UNIVERSITY STUDENT!! Wow...that still sounds so weird to me...I can never see myself past a high-schooler. hehe! Let's skip all the boring stuff and get to the interesting events!!!

Why life is so cool right now
  1. My campus is the whole CITY OF LONDON!
  2. My residential hall is so close that I practically ROLL OVER out of my bed towards my uni
  3. The major part of my uni is only made up of ONE building...
  4. Yeah, yeah...Arvind...We know it's actually THREE buildings...but we only use 1, don't we!
  5. My uni is small enough for me to know almost EVERYONE!
  6. Seniors are so swell here...freshers don't get bullied...we bully them! What's more, they still wanna hang with us after that~ hee
  7. My gang of friends are so knit tight we actually (unconsciously) call ourselves 'the crew'
  8. We have nicknames for each other too -.-!!
  9. And it's only been 1 month since we knew each other~~
  10. I'm 'lili' by the way...don't ask me why *rolls eyes*
  11. I'm well known by lecturers!!!
  12. ...because I sleep in lectures...^^V
  13. And get caught twice in a week...(I know...I shouldn't seem so proud about this *guilty look*)
  14. I don't get kicked out of the badminton team even when I suck like a hungry hippo with a straw.
  15. I met many other Christians, in campus, off campus and get together to praise our amazing GOD!
  16. If a christian senior refuses to give me his work, I'd say....'What would Jesus do, ei...?'
  17. Number 16 was a joke...><
  18. EVERYDAY FEELS LIKE A BLESSING FROM GOD!!!

I'm not gonna post photos here, cause they're all on facebook....=) Go have a look-see! The smile on my face is genuine...that is, unless it's a cheeky look~~

Over You - Chris Daughtry

Now that it's all said and done,
I can't believe you were the one.
To build me up and tear me down,
Like an old abandoned house.
What you said when you left,
Just left me cold and out of breath.
I fell too far, was in way too deep.
Guess I let you get the best of me.

Well, I never saw it coming.
And I should've started running
A long, long time ago.And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

You took a hammer to these walls,
Dragged the memories down the hall,
Packed your bags and walked away.
There was nothing I could say.
And when you slammed the front door shut,
A lot of others opened up,
So did my eyes so I could see.
That you never were the best for me.

Well, I nevr saw it coming.
And I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through,
I got over you.

Well, I never saw it coming.
And I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
Well, I never saw it coming.
And I should've started running
A long, long time ago.
And I never thought I'd doubt you,
I'm better off without you
More than you, more than you know.
I'm slowly getting closure.
I guess it's really over.
I'm finally getting better.
And now I'm picking up the pieces.
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together.
Well I'm putting my heart back together,
'Cause I got over you.
Well I got over you.
I got over you.
'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through, I got over you.

Wicked song!

Last days at Ardingly...*sniffle*

It's been a month and a bit since I walked out of my school grounds, boarded the plane and flew straight home...the tune *i'm leaving,on a jet plane. Don't know when i'll be back again (Shania Twain)* comes to mind. So, I guess it's safe for me to do a bit of recall of my last few days at Ardingly now.

D'you know the feeling when something (say...'life') is about to end, you'll wanna do something out of the ordinary, adventurous, daring...Well, this was what we did...
Yes...goat's milk was what we did....We purchased a carton of goat's milk and challenged ourselves to finish it. It tasted like...hm....goat.

Some of us joined a pagent...

Other's got themselves hooked to relationships that only death can free you...

And some others took a step closer to their career goals of becoming angels...
Me?? Well, I found myself a fancy cowboy hat...and began a career of milking fake cows...
Oh yeah...On the way to London, I also decided to brave myself to break the law!! (Enlarge to view the little red sign visibly) I'm good~ *pats own head* I hope the London Transpore Authorities don't take this seriously if they read my blog...
Here's most of us...

Cheers, mates (one British slang I never picked up)...For all the wonderful memories that we can possibly conjure up in the most boring place on earth!
